Privacy Policy

This policy explains how SPARE CHAIR LTD ("Spare Chair", "we", "us") uses personal data on our website at sparechair.io, in our sales outreach, and in the market data we collect. The Spare Chair dashboard at app.sparechair.io has its own privacy policy.
1. Who we are

We are the controller for the data in this policy. We do not have a Data Protection Officer. We are not required to have one.
2. What we collect and why

We only contact businesses about Spare Chair. We do not send marketing emails to sole traders or partnerships without their consent. Every email we send tells you how to opt out.
3. Market data
We collect public information about hair and beauty businesses from public booking websites. This includes business name, city, category, rating, services, prices and open appointment times. We use it to understand market prices and demand. It is about businesses, not people. We do not collect client names or reviews. Where a business is a sole trader, some of this may relate to that person. If that is you, you can object at any time (see section 7).
4. Who we share data with
We use trusted providers. They act on our instructions.

We may share data if the law requires it, or with a buyer if we sell the business. We never sell personal data.
5. International transfers
Some providers are in the USA. When data leaves the UK we rely on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on the ICO International Data Transfer Addendum. Ask us for details at team@sparechair.io.
6. How long we keep data

7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- see a copy of your data;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- limit how we use it;
- object to how we use it, including for direct marketing (we will always stop);
- move it to another provider.

9. Changes
We will post changes here and update the date at the top.
